Who we are
RELL Seas Wiki at rellseaswiki.com and the Crews directory at crews.rellseaswiki.com are independent, fan-made services for the RELL Seas game. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to RELL Games or any game development studio. Game names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
The site operator is responsible for this policy and for responding to privacy requests. Questions can be sent to support@rellseaswiki.com.
What data we collect
We process two broad categories of information:
Information you provide directly. Reading the wiki and public crew pages does not require an account. If you use Discord sign-in for Crews, we receive your Discord account ID, username, avatar, and the IDs of servers for which Discord reports relevant management permissions. We also process crew profiles, uploaded flags, ownership requests, support choices, faction choices, and other content you submit. Public crew information is displayed to other visitors. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include.
Information collected automatically. Hosting, security, analytics, consent, and advertising providers may process standard technical and usage data. This can include IP address, browser and operating system, device type, language, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location, cookie IDs, advertising IDs, and interactions with content or advertisements.
We do not ask visitors to submit sensitive personal information through the wiki.
How we use data
Data is processed to:
- Deliver, secure, maintain, and improve the wiki.
- Authenticate Crews users, enforce one crew and one support per account, and verify eligible server ownership claims.
- Publish and manage crew profiles, rankings, faction choices, and community interactions.
- Understand aggregate traffic and prioritize content updates.
- Remember site preferences and consent choices.
- Serve, limit, personalize when permitted, and measure advertisements.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and technical failures.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define the use of identifiers for interest-based advertising as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. The applicable opt-out choices are described below.
Advertising and third-party partners
The wiki uses advertising to support hosting, research, and development. Advertising providers may process technical and usage data to select, deliver, secure, and measure ads. The providers present in the site configuration include:
- Mediavine and Grow, including the advertising demand partners used to deliver and measure ads.
Providers and their demand partners may change over time. Their own privacy notices describe the data they process and the controls they offer. Where consent is legally required, eligible technologies are loaded or used according to the choice recorded by the active Consent Management Platform.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a "device") by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, "Tags") may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache. The "help" feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser's cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor's referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit the National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at the Digital Advertising Alliance AppChoices page to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.
For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage across the wiki and Crews directory, including page views, traffic sources, popular content, device categories, directory filters, and completion of crew creation, editing, support, faction, and ownership flows. Analytics events do not include Discord account IDs, usernames, form text, or uploaded image contents. We do not use our analytics reports to identify visitors by name.
You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
European Economic Area, UK, and Swiss privacy rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority.
Our legal bases may include consent for non-essential analytics and advertising, legitimate interests for essential operation, security, and fraud prevention, and legal obligations where applicable. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Use the footer privacy controls for cookie choices or email support@rellseaswiki.com for a request concerning data controlled directly by the site operator. Advertising providers may direct you to their own verified request channels for data they control.
US state privacy rights
Residents of California and other US states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to know or access personal information, request deletion or correction, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You will not be discriminated against for exercising an applicable privacy right.
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising-related transfers may still be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state laws. Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control in the footer where available, review Cookie Preferences, or email us. We may need to verify a request before completing it.
Children under 13
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so the request can be reviewed and the information deleted where applicable.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, to maintain security, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Google Analytics event data is configured for a limited retention period, typically no longer than 26 months. Service providers apply their own documented retention periods. Email correspondence is retained only while it remains reasonably useful for the request or record involved.
Security
The site is delivered over HTTPS and uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Report a suspected security or privacy issue using the contact address below.

The wiki links to third-party websites and official community channels. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators. Review the privacy notice of a third-party service before providing information to it.
