RELL SEAS WIKI

Ocean Zones

Last updated: March 21, 2026

Overview

RELL Seas divides the ocean into distinct zones with unique environmental hazards, climates, and content gates. These zones determine which threats players face while sailing, influence ship class requirements, and reward exploration with access to new sea regions. The Adventure Dex temperature tracking feature is directly tied to the zone climate system.

🗺️Sea Region Progression

C1East Blue / Calm Belt

The starting sea region. Calmer waters, lower-tier faction enemies, and introductory content. Accessible with a basic Sloop from the start of the game.

C2Grand Line Entry

Mid-game sea region. Unpredictable weather patterns and stronger faction crew presence. Caravel-class ships are recommended for sustained C2 exploration.

C3New World Approach

Late-game region featuring extreme environmental hazards and elite faction encounters. Galleon-class ships with meaningful upgrade investment required.

C4End Game Seas

The highest-tier sea region. Maximum environmental danger, top-tier faction crews, and exclusive end-game content. Full gear and maximum ship upgrades required to survive.

⚠️Environmental Hazards

Tsunami Zones

High Risk

Areas prone to massive wave events capable of capsizing or heavily damaging ships. Navigating tsunami zones requires sturdy vessels and fast reactions.

Sloops are particularly vulnerable. Galleons offer the best structural resistance to tsunami wave damage.

Stormy Zones

Medium Risk

Regions with persistent severe weather - high winds, reduced visibility, and lightning strikes. Storm zones test navigation skill and ship hull durability over time.

All ship classes can navigate storm zones, but hull damage accumulates without adequate upgrade investment.

Sinkholes

High Risk

Underwater cavities that generate dangerous pull currents near the surface. Ships too close to a sinkhole are dragged under. Submarines can navigate through sinkholes to access hidden underwater regions.

Surface ships must avoid sinkhole proximity. Submarines treat sinkholes as entry points into underwater content areas.

Notes

  • Tsunami zones and sinkholes were confirmed in the Movie 1 RELL Seas developer showcase.
  • The C1/C2/C3/C4 progression structure was confirmed in the Movie 3 developer showcase.
  • Adventure Dex temperature tracking maps directly to the climate differences across sea regions.
  • Sinkholes serve a dual purpose - a surface hazard and a submarine entry point into underwater content zones.
  • C4 content is designed as end-game material requiring maximum character and ship progression to access safely.
